Jo-Ann owned
a craft store for 10 years in Mission, BC. During that time,
she travelled to Oregon to learn tole painting from Kay
Ludlow. Another influential teacher was Karen Hubbard who
taught Jo-Ann techniques for painting woodland animals.
A favourite part of Jo-Ann's life was taking these seminars
and then coming home and teaching others. |

Jo-Ann now calls the remote area of 70 Mile House, BC, her
home. She and her husband live on a picturesque 40 acres on
a bluff overlooking the meandering Bonaparte River. They
enjoy clean living including the benefits of solar energy.
Jo-Ann continues to enjoy a multitude of crafts and actively
engages in recycling objects in her art. She believes "you
can paint anything that's not living." |
